Artur’s Football Career

Until now, Artur Boruc played for three Polish clubs. His first club was Pogoń Siedlce, where he started his career and continued it until 1998. In 1999 Artur signed with Legia Warsaw and stayed there until now, except half-season long loan to Dolcan Ząbki. Artur’s career in Legia can be divided into two stages. Initially he played in a second team and practiced with the first one and also represented second division Dolcan on a six-month loan (autumn 2000). Then he makes his debut in Legia first team (2002) and becomes Legia first goalkeeper (since 2003). Since 2004 Artur Boruc is also a member of Poland’s national team. Below, we present Artur’s previous clubs and reports from matches he played for these clubs and a national team. Unfortunately, we were not able to present all detailed statistics from the times Artur played for Pogoń and Dolcan, but will do our best to present them as soon as possible. Artur’s club and national team statistics will be updated regularly.

On 20 July 2005 Artur joined Celtic Glasgow on a season-long loan from Legia. Is he going to represent Celtic in 88 official games as he did in Legia? He will do his best, that’s for sure! :-)
