A beautiful gesture (31.10.)

Artur Boruc made a dream come true for a Celtic fan from Gorzów - Rafał. They both are examples that football is pure passion and has a normal, human face.

- Such meeting can make you stand up straight again. We often do not even realize how lucky we are - said Artur.

A small communal flat in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, 30 km from Warsaw. Two tiny rooms and a kitchen. A young man connected to a respirator lies in one of them.

Rafał suffers from Duchenne’s mussel dystrophy. He cannot walk or even breathe independently. He can only last five minutes without it, since he had pneumonia.

Dystrophy is a genetic disease. His brother, who was two years older than him, died from it a few months ago.

It is hard, but it is no use in complaining - said Rafał’s parents.

- We are doing the best we can to help him. Luckily enough we can count on other people’s help -they added.

At the beginning Rafał was devastated. Later on he changed completely. He now cherishes every moment - they did not hide their content.
